Modification of ERGA WetMag magnetic drum separator for studying applicability of wet separation processes for ores and nonmetallic materials and conducting scientific research in industrial and university laboratories.

  • Permanent magnetic system with intensity up to 900 mT (9 000 Gauss)

Depending on the specifics of magnetic separation tasks, ERGA WetMag separators are equipped with various types of magnetic systems, including systems based on powerful rare-earth magnets with magnetic intensity up to 900 mT (9 000 Gs).

  • Wide range of separation settings

WetMag separator has adjustable magnetic intensity on the drum face, magnetic system position, operating gap and drum speed. The system of slurry flow control using a disc valve allows you to vary the performance of the process.

  • Automatic cleaning

Cleaning of raw materials from magnetic impurities is in automatic mode with a flush nozzle and with minimum personnel involvement. Continuous automatic removal of magnetic inclusions improves separation quality and efficiency.

  • Customized selection of equipment

WetMag models are produced with different types of baths for operation in concurrent, countercurrent or semi-countercurrent modes for optimum concentration of ore and nonmetallic materials of various sizes and magnetic susceptibility. For laboratory research the drum diameter of the wet separator can be 150, 250, 400 mm; for pilot tests - 600, 900 mm. Operating length of the drum is selected depending on the design capacity.

  • Compact and mobile

The use of permanent magnets in the separators ensures its low power consumption, low weight and reliability in comparison with their electromagnetic analogs that have problems with overheating and burning of coils. WetMag is distinct in compactness, easy maneuverability and convenient use in laboratory conditions.

  • Easy to operate and maintain

Simple and robust design with little maintenance ensures easy operation of WetMag drum separator. All working components are made of wear-resistant stainless steel for long service life. The separator is equipped with a mechanical stirrer to prepare slurry for separation.
